The best pull-out beds in comparison

Current test winners and what things you should definitely consider before buying Also: These are my cheap insider tips away from Ikea.

A pull-out bed is a versatile piece of furniture and becomes a second sleeping place in no time at all.

  • It consists of a main bed that is always visible
  • During the day it remains folded and can then be used if desired
  • The functions of the two beds are indistinguishable from a normal bed

Usually pull-out beds are used where there is not much space in the apartment. Pull-out beds are also a good and reliable solution when a visitor needs a place to sleep.

Finding the right pull-out bed can be no easy task. Many providers have very different models and functions to choose from. The search for the perfect pull-out bed can take a little longer.

This guide is intended to simplify and shorten your own search for the best pull-out bed for your purposes.

I would like to analyze together with you which pull-out bed is suitable for you and also give you one or the other tip.

However, if you prefer to skip the entire buying guide and fast-forward to the test winner, take a closer look at the following two models.

In my opinion, they are the best pull-out bed and appeal to many different target groups. I would like to introduce a pull-out bed for both indoor and outdoor use:

The test winner for indoor use allows me to stay flexible as a single purchase or as a set and, in my opinion, has a very good price-performance ratio – a great alternative to the hard-to-find pull-out beds from Ikea.

The test winner for the outdoor area is weatherproof, has a very comfortable surface and can be converted for various occasions.

What is the difference between pull-out beds and regular beds?

I mentioned it in the short introduction.

In contrast to the ‘traditional bed’, pull-out beds offer additional sleeping space.

This is hidden in the main part of the pull-out bed and is called an under-bed.

Pull-out bed or bed with pull-out drawer?

Please note, however, that in some cases those beds are also communicated as pull-out beds where there is no second sleeping space hidden under the bed.

With these models you also pull out the lower area of the bed. However, it is usually additional storage space in the form of drawers that is pulled out of the bed.

Just because the function is the same doesn’t mean the terminology has to be the same.

It’s a question of definition. But in my opinion, if you don’t pull out a bed, it is not a trundle bed. It’s more like a bed with a pull-out drawer.

So be prepared and warned when doing your online research. The wrong pull-out bed can quickly fail and not meet expectations and it would be very annoying to have to admit a bad buy.

In my product test, I only considered those models that actually create a second sleeping space. For the other type of bed, you would have to look for the term “tandem bed” or “pull-out bed with drawers”.

Sleep alternatives with a small but subtle difference

The pull-out bed has many other names and is perhaps also known as a youth bed, children’s bed, functional bed, single beds, tandem bed, guest bed or bunk bed.

The term ‘pull-out bed’ is more common and describes the core function of this type.

So the name says it all: you literally pull the bed apart so that the second sleeping place only then appears.

For example, there are now beds that offer functions similar to those of a pull-out bed. If you are more interested in this type of bed, please read the following articles:

If you are looking for a multifunctional piece of furniture for your living room, then you should perhaps consider a permanent sofa bed . You get away from the pure bedroom look of a bed and have the same function as a pull-out bed.

There is also a wider choice of designs and proportions. You may remain a little more flexible when furnishing your apartment with a permanent sofa bed.

With this I don’t want to spoil the pull-out bed or talk you out of it. But a permanent sofa bed may be more suitable for you as a sensible alternative for the living room.

Don’t think of a pull-out bed too complicated. There are only a few characteristics that distinguish pull-out beds from one another. I would like to briefly describe the most important functions to you.

Pull-out bed with the same height

This variant of the pull-out bed has feet that can be assembled, with which you can flexibly adjust and adjust the sleeping height of the second person. In the best case, the second bed is then at the same height as the first bed.

Of course, this benefits all those people who do not want to sleep separately from one another. It would be a good solution for couples or siblings, for example.

Day bed

A bit of a bed, a bit of a sofa and a bit of an Arabic divan. It is not for nothing that a day bed is a very good all-rounder.

The pull-out day bed has a bed box in which the sleeping space is sunk.

Most of the time, the simple look is not reminiscent of a sleeping place, which is why daybeds can be integrated and combined very well in many living rooms with different style elements.

Tandembett

There is enough storage space for the additional bedding underneath the second bed. In contrast to the first-mentioned pull-out bed, this one has a bed box.

So you pull out the entire bed box and not just the mattress. Here, too, the mattresses are at the same height.

For 3 people

Here, too, the name is self-explanatory. Up to three people can sleep on such a model variant.

For this piece of furniture you need a larger floor space than for the other model variants.

The upper lying surface is usually designed for two people. The third sleeping place is pulled out and is closer to the floor.

Multifunctional beds for outdoors

By the way, there are also weatherproof models for outdoor use. So if you want to shine with a very comfortable seat at the next barbecue party in the garden, think about such a multifunctional bed for the outside area.

It is true that this furniture primarily serves as a seat. But some of them are converted into reclining areas and are so comfortable that you can easily take a nap in the sun. Don’t forget to apply lotion!

Advantages of a pull-out bed

As already explained at the beginning, the pull-out bed is a piece of furniture with a useful double function.

So you buy a double solution for at least two people, but only buy one piece of furniture.

Easy handling

You only needed a few simple steps to pull out and set up the other bed. As a rule, the pull-out bed is designed to be so space-saving that at first glance you would not suspect another built-in bed.

An easy-to-use mechanism lets you pull the bed apart with little force. Setting up a pull-out bed is literally ‘easy’.

It doesn’t quite work ‘at the push of a button’. But the integrated technology is so advanced that older people or people with physical disabilities can easily assemble and dismantle such a bed.

Living space is retained – space-saving in use

So you don’t have to buy a second bed and slatted frame. This not only saves your wallet and valuable time for assembly, but also fundamentally saves space at home.

Of course, no pull-out bed in the world can conjure up more living space than before in your apartment.

  • But the original living space is retained and can be used for other purposes.
  • Only when you pull out the bed for use do you make use of a few square meters of floor space.

If you don’t move the bed in and out every day, you don’t have to reposition any other pieces of furniture within the space.

Unlike many other mobile sleeping solutions such as folding mattresses or air beds that annoying moving furniture falls ever gone.

Pull-out beds are therefore particularly suitable for living spaces where every square meter of floor space is important. With a pull-out bed, you stay flexible and spacious at the same time in your limited living space. You can store the bedding you need in integrated bed boxes.

So maybe think of the children’s room or playroom when planning to buy a pull-out bed. When using a pull-out bed, your children have significantly more space to play, do handicrafts, romp, etc.

When to buy a pull-out bed – and when not to

The advantages of pull-out beds are therefore obvious. However, pull-out beds are not suitable for all households and cannot be used everywhere.

I would like to name a few target groups for whom a pull-out bed would be particularly suitable.

However, not every household has this useful sleep solution. A pull-out bed is not for everyone and depends on the scenario.

Very suitable for 1-room apartments

A pull-out bed is particularly suitable for flats and apartments with limited living space in urban areas with limited living space.

This is valuable and must be used as space-saving as possible.

Most of these apartments are then converted into shared apartments in order to accommodate more people in less space.

So people are getting more and more creative to save space. Often pull-out beds and a lot of other smart furniture are the solution to make the most of the limited space.

You don’t need a separate bedroom for a pull-out bed. Here necessity becomes a virtue and lets you save an entire space with a pull-out bed.

  • This applies in particular to 1-room apartments in the city. It also just looks better if you would receive visitors. Your sleeping place is of course gladly kept away from curious visitors as a private retreat.
  • By pushing the pull-out bed together during the day, the small apartment also looks more homely and welcoming. A ready place to sleep may not seem very pleasant to the visitor.

Pull-out beds are therefore a modern and welcome solution for single households in urban areas.

Suitable for guests and visitors

However, not only the very smallest apartments have to benefit from pull-out beds. Pull-out beds are also sensible solutions for larger apartments or houses.

So if you want to receive guests overnight, a flexible pull-out bed is a good and space-saving solution. You kill two birds with one stone and can accommodate two guests at the same time.

You also don’t have to convert an extra room for this purpose. While pure guest rooms are equipped with an additional bed, you can design this space flexibly.

Pull-out beds are also called functional beds. If you can combine a room with several functions in addition to sleeping, you create a multifunctional room. So you can have a mix of guest rooms and …

  • Guest room
  • Workspace
  • Playroom

… created at home. Thanks to the area freed up, you are not dependent on one of these areas of application, but can design the space flexibly as you wish.

You can also use pull-out beds in holiday apartments or houses if the accommodation is planned for more guests than originally planned.

Therefore, pull-out beds are considered a smart solution if another room is available and this should not be used as a bedroom.

Good for nursery

The pull-out bed can of course trigger a certain play effect in children. The youngsters are happy to show their friends and visitors that they can pull their own bed in and out as if by magic.

Then quickly pull out a cot and the dream land is ready.

The pull-out bed also ‘enlarges’ the children’s room. By dispensing with this piece of furniture, the children have a much larger play area.

With all the toys and cuddly toys, children’s rooms can never be big enough!

An interesting alternative for outdoors

Instead of relying on rustic metal furniture or cheap plastic seating, you might want to consider a pull-out bed for outdoor use as well.

These are weatherproof and weatherproof and can even withstand rain and frost. You would get yourself a very comfortable seating and sleeping solution that not everyone has in their garden.

It is another story to sleep in the open air in the summer at night with all the mosquitoes. However, this seat significantly enhances the comfort at the next garden party.

It doesn’t necessarily have to be just the garden, but can just as easily be used for the veranda, atrium, terrace, etc. For yourself and the guests, however, it is a special seat that can be embedded very stylishly in the outside environment in the truest sense of the word.

Not a good permanent solution

Outside of the children’s room, you should ask yourself whether a pull-out bed is really a permanent solution for your own sleep. The constant assembly and dismantling of course also takes time every day.

Of course we’re not talking about hours of assembling your sleeping space. But overall it can then be perceived as a chore or a means to an end.

It can of course be quite annoying when you return home tired from sports, travel or parties and the preferred sleeping area is not yet available and has to be created first.

Nap in between and nap difficult with a pull-out bed of course a little. So you can be sure whether a pull-out bed is a sensible permanent solution for your use. This is the best answer to this question.

What a sleep solution is completely sufficient for occasional guests at night does not have to apply to you yourself.

Now, these pull-out beds are not uncomfortable per se. But as a permanent sleep solution, you will be able to achieve a much higher level of sleeping comfort with comfortable mattresses.

Pull-out beds are the ingenious solution when they are needed for the purposes described. Personally, I would therefore buy a pull-out bed rather than a second bed for guests.

But if you want a pull-out bed for your purposes, then you should perhaps consider one or the other thing and look at it from a different perspective.

What to consider before buying a pull-out bed

If you like this space-saving solution for your purposes and you can basically imagine buying it, there are still a few things to consider.

I would like to briefly highlight the most important things for you.

Beware of excess lengths

Big people don’t have it as easy in everyday life as we always think.

If you measure 2 meters or more, you generally have a harder time buying clothes, everyday objects and furniture than the rest of the population.

Basically, it should be noted that oversized people have a hard time finding the right and comfortable place to sleep. The same applies of course to pull-out beds.

You increase the lying area noticeably by pulling out the second sleeping space.

However, this only applies to the width of the furniture, not to the length.

Even then, lying diagonally on the lying surface in order to use the entire space will probably not be enough for a comfortable sleep.

  • There are only a few manufacturers who offer excess lengths of more than 200 cm – so pull-out beds from Ikea fall out.
  • However, if you decide to have a pull-out bed with a standardized size, consider an open footboard bed.

So you can stretch out beyond the original lying area and use a pull-out bed for your own sleep even if you are oversized.

If you do not want to consider this solution, you have to look around for better alternatives or have a pull-out bed made to measure.

However, custom-made items are also very expensive when it comes to furniture, and this hardly justifies an even more expensive pull-out bed. If custom-made products make it more expensive, I would rather invest the existing budget in a ‘normal’ and comfortable bed.

How big should my pull-out bed be?

This is what you should know best. Perhaps a few counter-questions will help give you a clearer idea:

  • Do I have enough space at home for a pull-out bed?
  • Do I want to make it look like a normal sofa or a bed?
  • Is the bed (also) for me or only for guests?
  • How many people would you like to host there?

You know the purpose of the pull-out bed best and what size is right for you and your apartment. I can’t possibly know that in the form of a remote diagnosis.

Perhaps you can orientate yourself a little on the number of people. Do you want a pull-out bed

  • … use for yourself?
  • … where you can accommodate several people?
  • …for children?

You should definitely ask yourself these questions before buying. Being able to accommodate more people on a pull-out bed also means more lying and standing space and a higher load-bearing capacity for the mattress.

There aren’t as many standardized widths for pull-out beds as you might think. That of course shrinks the selection of potential pull-out beds for you.

You will find pull-out beds mainly in the following sizes:

  • 90 x 200 cm
  • 180 x 200 cm

These are the most common sizes and are easiest to find online or in stores. Of course, there are a few exceptions or special designs. But it reduces and focuses on these two dimensions.

Depending on your own living situation or the availability of the right wall or corner, you will of course need a very wide floor space.

The right height for your pull-out bed

Here, too, there are of course differences and recommendations for different types of users.

From an ergonomic point of view, your feet should always touch the floor while sitting on the mattress at a 90 ° angle.

Incidentally, this applies to all seats, not just in this case. If you adhere to this 90 ° rule of thumb, it will have an ergonomic and joint-friendly effect on your body.

The optimal entry height naturally varies with your own body length. Basically, the longer the legs, the higher the bed should be.

  • The optimal bed height is usually between 45 and 60 centimeters
  • A bed height of 45 to 50 centimeters is recommended for seniors

It is difficult to come up with a rule of thumb for children of all ages. You should also observe the 90 ° angle here with your child.

Children in particular sometimes have to climb into their own bed because the height of the cot is not suitable for them. This can of course lead to falls and injuries. Therefore, pay attention to the optimal bed height or the 90 ° angle for the offspring.

Low beds are not considered ergonomic and not comfortable to get in and out of. In addition, low beds have the disadvantage that the air circulates worse than in higher models.

So if you sleep too close to the ground, you will be additionally burdened by dust and cold.

Therefore, beds that have the same height are recommended. There the air circulates sufficiently below the lying surface.

Attention with the size information

Two things particularly struck me during my research on the size specifications that have confused me a little at one time or another.

  1. Many pull-out beds are communicated as “for children” or “for young people”, even though they were not really made for children or young people.

Manufacturers probably market every 80 x 160 cm pull-out bed as a cot because the size suggests. Or maybe because for us adults opening and closing these beds is far less an option than for our children?

It is difficult for me to understand why.

However, many of the children’s beds mentioned by name are completely ‘normal pull-out beds’ and could therefore also be used by adults. Of course, only if the specified size and the load capacity of the mattress allow it.

  • With a large number of pull-out beds marketed as ‘children’s beds’, there is no difference in terms of style and appearance.
  • I would have expected the color or shape of the bed ‘for children’ much more. Most pull-out beds ‘for children’ are, however, in rather simple and subtle colors and shapes.

So do not be confused by these circumstances with the normal size specification.

Always check whether the cot is really a bed made exclusively for children. Or whether it was just labeled as such for marketing.

In addition to the special design, a cot is usually characterized by a fall protection on the sides, so that very active sleepers are protected from possible falls at night. And of course a fixed foot end.

If a pull-out bed does not have these features and does not look like it was made for children, then in my opinion it is also safe for adults.

  1. Many sizes are vague or unclear

What I also noticed when researching this article are the sometimes unclear names of the manufacturers. Unfortunately, not all models had transparent product information about the pull-out beds, or no comprehensible standard.

For example, some manufacturers do not give any size information about the base bed or vary between the length of the bed when it is retracted and the overall dimensions when it is extended, or only note the size of the load grate.

For example, not only did the size change after it was pulled out (logical!), But also the indication of the side (Huh ?!). In a specific case, the depth in the retracted state became the width in the extended state after unfolding.

I noticed that not only once and is not fundamentally wrong, but a question of definition.

Depending on how wide or long the entire bed is after being pulled out, the geometric shape may even change from rectangular to square.

  • If, however, the customer is confused by these differences in the size information before the purchase, then it can quickly become a bad buy.
  • Something with the size does not easily fit in the room to be set up, because it looked different in the mind’s eye with the supposedly correct size information.

I would have liked more and clearer information from the manufacturers so that at least no difficulties arise with the important topic of size specifications.

It is not even fundamentally difficult to understand, but rather inconsistent and complicated.

So you now know the most important purchase criteria for pull-out beds. In the following section I would like to give you a few specific recommendations. For each user, I will recommend the most suitable pull-out bed and explain why it is a good choice.

Pull-out bed test winner & Ikea alternative

This pull-out bed is communicated as a bunk bed or a youth bed. But I don’t really see any reason why this was done. It has no childish or youthful style elements.

I therefore see no reason to recommend it as a pure youth or children’s bed for you.

Therefore, for me it is considered a ‘normal pull-out bed’. The combination of bed, mattress and slatted frame convinced me with a very fair price.

Core data:

LENGTH OF BED: 203.2 cm

WIDTH BED: 94 cm

HEIGHT OF BED: 52.4 cm

LENGTH OF BED: 90 cm

LOWER BED WIDTH: 198.5 cm

LOWER BED HEIGHT: 22.8 cm

MATERIAL : Chipboard, 16 mm, melamine-coated

Incidentally, the lower bed is not permanently built into the box and is only loosely pushed under. So if you want to completely separate the lower bed from the upper bed and set it up somewhere else, you can do that without any problems.

The breathable pores in the cold foam of the supplied mattress and the 7-zone slatted frame ensure optimal sleeping comfort. Overall, I think that’s a very fair price for the entire set.

You can also buy the same model in a different color from Sonoma. All materials and dimensions remain the same besides the price. But the color white can possibly be better combined with your own interior design.

What I particularly liked about this manufacturer is that they give me, as a customer, the flexibility to buy.

So you can buy the bed individually. Or just the bed with a slatted frame. Or just the bed with a mattress. Or, as shown in the two examples above, the entire set.

The first choice for seniors

Seniors need a joint-friendly entry and exit. It should be high enough that you don’t have to support yourself from the ground.

Overall, there are far fewer specimens that have the same height as the lower beds.

The pull-out bed below is one of the few of this type.

Core data:

LENGTH OF BED: 200 cm

WIDE BED: 98.5 cm

HEIGHT OF BED: 62 cm

MATERIAL: Kieferholz

Unfortunately, no specific information is given about the size when unfolded or about the underbed. Only the lying surface is written by the manufacturer as 90 × 190 cm, which then applies to both sides.

The already fixed feet are opened on each side. So you don’t have to assemble or disassemble anything. The pull-out bed is freely adjustable without a fixed connection to the main bed.

The pull-out bed is delivered without a mattress. In order to retrofit it appropriately, the manufacturer recommends a mattress length of 90x190cm. According to the manufacturer’s description, the bed has a load capacity of 130 kg.

The luxury solution

The very best quality is offered to you with the following product. Of course it’s a proud price, but that’s to be expected with the material being processed.

Core data:

DEPTH BED: 209 cm

LENGTH OF BED: 96.5 cm

HEIGHT OF BED: 75 cm

LOWER BED DEPTH: 190 cm

LENGTH UNDER BED: 93.5 cm

LOWER BED HEIGHT: 22.8 cm

MATERIAL : Solid pine and medium-density fibreboard

With the processed material you should at least be sure that it also fits the rest of the furniture in the interior. The look of the dark shades is difficult to combine with light colors.

However, it looks different with the quality and nature of the materials used. Solid pine is considered to be one of the most robust and durable woods. The bed will therefore be able to be used for a long time and continuously.

For the young

An adventurous bed in a wild jungle look with animal motifs.

Core data:

LENGTH OF BED: 213 cm

WIDTH BED: 165 cm

HEIGHT OF BED: 100 cm

LENGTH OF BED: 195 cm

LOWER BED WIDTH: 90 cm

UNDERBED HEIGHT 😕 cm

MATERIAL : solid pine wood

Oh how cool it has to be when your best friend is visiting over night and an additional sleeping place can be conjured up out of nowhere.

The bed is delivered without a slatted frame or mattress. So you have to retrofit the cot yourself.

Please note the load capacity of the bed. It is stated that it can only be loaded up to 99 kg. That should be enough for the average offspring. But you never know!

So before you play or romp in bed with your child and it cracks loudly, you should move the play area outside. It would be a shame if the bed breaks so easily.

Recommendation for outdoor use

As mentioned earlier, a pull-out bed doesn’t always have to be for indoor use. There are also some specimens that are comfortable for you to lie down in the garden. I would like to introduce two of them to you.

Core data:

LENGTH BENCH: 184 cm

WIDTH BENCH: 71 cm

SEAT HEIGHT BENCH: 47 cm

LENGTH OF BED: 184 cm

WIDE BED: 124 cm

HEIGHT OF BED: 36 cm

MATERIAL : acacia hardwood

Of course, it might not be the best solution to spending the night outside. It has relatively small dimensions even when unfolded.

This pull-out bed is light as a feather at 42 kg. When extended, the seat is converted into a bed surface, but only enlarged by 56 cm. The pillow is also unfolded and thus the thickness of the pads is reduced by 11 cm.

Of course, you won’t get the same level of sleeping comfort as you would in a traditional mattress bed. But a welcome alternative is for all those who want to do without uncomfortable plastic garden loungers and are looking for a high-quality piece of furniture.

The use of acacia from sustainable forestry should also be mentioned. However, the pillows are made of polyester. So the feeling of having done something good for the environment has unfortunately been offset by the use of artificial materials.

But it won’t get any better with the lying surface. If you want weather and waterproof materials, polyester products are simply the better choice. Natural fabrics would deform, fade and mold too quickly.

The second example reminds me of the first-class category chairs in airplanes. You can retract the backrest completely and pull the foot section out by almost a meter.

It is roughly in the same price segment as the aforementioned pull-out bed. The manufacturer describes a total of three different functions:

  • Garden sofa with coffee table
  • Lounge furniture with a comfortable footboard
  • guest bed

Core data:

BENCH HEIGHT: 99 cm

WIDTH BENCH: 121 cm

DEPTH BENCH: 86 cm

HEIGHT OF BED: 44 cm

WIDE BED: 102 cm

DEEP BED: 180 cm

MATERIAL : acacia hardwood

Both seats have a small table on the outside that can be folded out using a gas pressure spring. So you would have additional space for drinks, snacks, etc.

  • The backrest can be adjusted in 6 different positions up to the horizontal.
  • The foot part, on the other hand, can also be used detached in the sitting position as a support surface and is not permanently linked to the piece of furniture.

Even if it is only 39.5 kg, you can load it up to 110 kg on both sides.

You remember that I initially criticized the manufacturers a little about the dimensions described? Unfortunately, this product is a good / daunting example.

If I take a closer look at the product photos and use common sense to argue, the lying area cannot have shrunk when the bed was pulled out.

However, this is exactly what is stated by the manufacturer and can therefore only be obviously wrong.

You are still at the same height as you were sitting before and not 55 cm lower than on the sofa. This is one of the wrong or misleading size specifications.

Apart from that, I think this product with its many functions and the lounge look is great and worth seeing.

Do you like one of the models presented and are you seriously considering buying it? There are still a few things to consider after purchasing.

What to consider after buying a pull-out bed

Earlier I wrote that you shouldn’t think of a pull-out bed as overly complicated.

It is a normal bed with an additional function. However, there are still a few tricks you can use to improve your sleep.

So that sleep in a pull-out bed is as comfortable as possible for you personally, please follow my tips.

Equip your pull-out bed with high quality mattresses

Some of the pull-out beds presented are already supplied with a mattress or, as with the outdoor variant, have fixed mattresses.

Regardless of whether the pull-out bed should be for you personally, your children or guests, pleasant sleeping comfort is recommended.

Regardless of whether the pull-out bed comes from Ikea, Flexa or another manufacturer: there are almost always suitable mattresses for retrofitting. Folding mattresses are particularly suitable, depending on the model, roll-up mattresses can also be useful.

If you already have a tried and tested mattress or pillow from before the pull-out bed, you can of course use it again.

  • So do not see the pull-out bed as a cheap emergency alternative for rare cases, but as an equal sleeping solution.
  • In my opinion, a pull-out bed should also offer comfortable comfort and a good quality of sleep.

Choosing the most comfortable mattress, the right blanket and the most suitable pillow are crucial for a good night’s sleep. The supplied and additional products are not always the best ergonomic solution.

Even if it is only a temporary solution for guests, you should not save money on this sleeping place. So trust high quality equipment for your bedroom.

Here you can find further articles on the equipment with which you can optimally equip your pull-out bed:

How do I clean a pull-out bed?

As normal as any other bed. You do not have to pay attention to any special things when cleaning the pull-out bed itself.

Just as a tip: if you choose a flat tandem bed, you should thoroughly clean the area near the low lying surface. Whoever sleeps in the lower half on the lower bed is much closer to the floor than on the upper bed.

You could therefore inhale dust from the floor. This is basically a pleasant thing, but especially unpleasant for allergy sufferers.

Clean the textile surface

It is up to you how often you want to clean the surface of the mattress. A special textile cleaning spray can help you keep your mattress and pillows clean and clean.

I use Febreze’s textile freshener spray for mattresses as well as for other textile surfaces at home.

With this set of 3 you have taken care of things for a long time. According to the manufacturer’s description, this fragrance lasts for 90 days. So absolutely sufficient for every application.

I use it after every use to be completely safe. According to the manufacturer, does not contain any chemicals that are harmful to the surface.

Conclusion

Pull-out beds are sensible alternatives to conventional beds or mobile sleeping solutions when it comes to saving space. You can also offer at least two guests a place to sleep.

Of course, due to the aforementioned conditions and somewhat cumbersome options, it is not suitable as a permanent sleeping place. After all, we probably don’t want to put our sleeping space up and down every day.

However, there are now many clever solutions for stylish room furnishing, especially with pull-out beds.

  • With the day beds in particular, it is hardly noticeable that you are sitting on a sofa and not on a bed. Personally, I also found the variant for the outdoor area really stylish and successful.
  • Overall, I was very surprised at the great possibilities the pull-out beds now offer us. I consider a pull-out bed to be a serious alternative to the traditional second guest bed or a sofa.

Hopefully this buying guide has helped you a bit with your decision making.

I created Sleep Knowledge to share my interests and experiences on healthy sleeping with others. On this page I am therefore dealing with interesting questions about the optimal night’s sleep & everything else that goes with it.
